Plus Fitness is committed to keeping our members, staff and all others in the community safe during the COVID-19 crisis. The Covid-19 environment has had a profound impact on the global health & fitness industry. Despite the unprecedented circumstances, Plus Fitness globally and nationwide has showcased the abilities to quickly innovate & adopt best practices and develop unique solutions to serve their members.

We believe that exercising is the most important aspect for people in the current environment to maintain a healthy immune system which can help the body fight off infections & viruses. We would also like to explain our insight on how best we have adapted ourselves to the “New Normal” and are motivated to move forward & serve our community.

Since the lockdown of COVID-19, we have been working day in, and day out to put forth and implement tools that will best protect our employees, serve the brand and to do what is best for our members, and be responsible to the greater community. 

We believe in offering safe & secure environment to our members and staff, and we have been working with our government officials and health experts to map out the safest way for our gyms to reopen and serve our members safely. After monitoring industry and various federal and state guidelines, we have developed steps for the clubs. 

All safety guidelines will be made available to all members in coming days prior to opening & will be displayed throughout the gym and will also be share via digital platforms, below is a brief about it.

  • Hand sanitiser stations.
  • Equipment sanitising stations with disinfectant sprays and wipes.
  • Social distancing guidelines; 
  • Plus our staff implementing our stringent cleaning protocols across the day.
  • Gym hygiene protocols

We will also be asking our members to do their part to keep the gym hygienic and safe by; 

  • Washing your hands or using the hand sanitiser provided before and after you train
  • Using a towel on all equipment.
  • Wiping down the equipment after use, 
  • Practising safe social distancing, and;
  • If you are not feeling well, remembering it’s Ok to skip a training day!

Going to gym, can help to build strong immune to fight infection & viruses'?

Regular physical activity can strengthen your immune system and help your body fight off infections and viruses. Aim for at least 30 minutes of gym activity for three days a week.

Is it safe to use the gym?

Yes, gyms are incredibly safe*. It is still very important that we all follow the Government guidelines which includes our increased cleaning and hygiene protocols and ensuring we are all practising sensible social distancing. 

Can you contract Coronavirus from sweat?

All evidence points to you not being able to contract Coronavirus from sweat. Coronavirus is a respiratory infection and according to current evidence from the WHO, the Covid-19 virus is primarily transmitted between people through respiratory droplets, and sweat is not this.** 

What are the benefits of going to gym?
