On 17th January 2022, all Plus Fitness franchisees organized the Annual Blood Camp to support the community. This is an initiative by Mr. Siraj Lalani, the Master Franchisee of Plus Fitness India.
He stated, "Blood is a valuable resource in healthcare all across the world. The donation of blood helps save lives, and there is a high need for blood and blood products. Someone in the world requires blood every 2 seconds."
Adding to his prior statement, he longed, "There are no alternatives for blood, platelets or plasma—these are essential components of life. And with just one pint of blood, you can save a life."
We, at Plus Fitness, believe that getting a group of individuals together to donate blood is a great way to give back and help those in need. Hence, as an initiative of doing good to the society along with our core fitness services, we organize the Blood Camp every year. And just like every year, this camp was also a great success. Irrespective of surging cases of COVID-19, a large group of people volunteered and came forward to do good to society.
The camp was organized with utmost safety, keeping every bit of COVID-19 safety protocols in mind. Donations were accepted in the blood camp in accordance with the protocol established by the government during the COVID-19 outbreak. The donor was first registered, and then they were subjected to a comprehensive medical examination before being permitted to make the donation. The on-duty personnel followed the proper process as well. All of them carefully adhered to social distancing standards. Everyone who attended the donors wore protective equipment, such as masks and gloves.
A significant amount of blood was collected and donated to the respective hospitals of those areas. We would like to express our gratitude to the people who were enthusiastic to support the community in this crucial time and for making this major event a success.
